Canada offers two types of temporary resident visas for visitors: the regular visitor visa and the super visa.
The regular visitor visa is a temporary resident visa that allows people to enter Canada for tourism, visiting family and friends, or business purposes. It is usually issued for a period of six months, but can be issued for up to 10 years depending on the applicant's situation.
The super visa, on the other hand, is a special type of visitor visa that allows parents and grandparents of Canadian citizens and permanent residents to stay in Canada for up to two years per visit, without having to renew their status. It is valid for up to 10 years and requires applicants to undergo a medical examination and purchase health insurance coverage for the duration of their stay in Canada.
To apply for either the regular visitor visa or the super visa, applicants must meet certain eligibility criteria, including demonstrating ties to their home country, showing that they have enough money to support themselves during their stay in Canada, and providing evidence of their intent to leave Canada at the end of their authorized stay.
It is important to note that the application process for both types of visas can be complex and time-consuming, and that there is no guarantee of approval.
